Switching · From Track

Moving from Track.

When you move from Track to LodgeOS, here is what comes across, and how the two run side by side until Track is switched off. Every move is done with the resort, not by a form.

What comes across from Track

  • Cabins, rooms, boats and carts, with beds, baths and how many each sleeps
  • Amenities and photos, with their captions
  • Check-in and check-out times
  • Guests and their contact details
  • Every future reservation and the past year’s, with the price of each night, the taxes and fees, any holds, and where each booking came from
  • Payments, and store charges put on a guest’s cabin

Checked to the penny

Every reservation brought over is balanced against Track before it counts. A booking that doesn’t add up stops the move until it does.

Both systems, side by side

LodgeOS reads Track’s new bookings every few minutes, so nothing booked in Track is missed and a double booking is flagged. It can also send its own bookings back to Track, so Track stays complete until the day it is switched off.

What stays behind

Said up front, so nothing is a surprise on the day:

  • Guests’ marketing consent, which isn’t carried over, so marketing waits until a guest says yes
  • Owner statements and accounting entries
  • Track’s cancellation-policy settings

Go live when you’re ready, with an undo

LodgeOS won’t switch your resort on until the basics are in place: your resort details, your rentals with a photo, seasons and rates with no gaps, taxes, a deposit policy, card payments and an email address for replies. Going live is one switch, and so is going back.
