What’s new

LodgeOS gets better most weeks.

29 things added in the last three months, in plain words. Every one is part of the same system, at the same price. Nothing here is an add-on.

October 2026

  1. Booking

Choose the rate when you move a stay

When Porter moves a reservation, you pick the rate: keep what the guest pays now, today's rate with any length-of-stay discount, or a nightly rate you type.

  2. Booking

Suggestions to group a family's cabins

The reservation page suggests grouping stays booked by the same person that overlap or run back to back. A group's deposit due is now capped at what the group owes.

  3. Reports

Reports you can sort, save and schedule

Porter's tables sort, filter and export to CSV or Excel. Save an answer as a report, refresh it or have it emailed daily, weekly or monthly, and export every matching reservation with contacts.

  4. Setup

    Hours of operation

Set your open hours by date range, with a weekly schedule, in Settings. Porter, the phone attendant and the booking page then say when you are open, and say nothing if you have not entered hours.

  5. Booking

A health check on every reservation

Each reservation shows whether you can reach the guest, deposit and balance, card on file, forms signed, ID, cabin ready and a do-not-book flag. A conversation card gathers every email, text and call.

  6. Setup

More detail on cabins, sites and boats

Note the beds in each bedroom, tub or shower, and mini-split or central air. Sites record hookup amps, max vehicles and rig length. Boats take a dogs yes or no and equipment notes.

  7. Messaging

See what will go out before it does

Coming up lists every automatic letter and text about to go out, guest by guest, and why any will not. Journeys has an on/off switch for automatic guest email, off until you turn it on.

  8. Payments

    Collections and deposits inside Reservations

A Collections tab shows who owes, a Sent tab tracks every payment link, and Deposit terms holds your policies. Release stale holds and re-send a link from there.

  9. Payments

    An optional credit card fee

Add a card fee, up to 3%, on credit cards only. Guests see it before they pay, bank payments carry none, and it stays off until you set a percent in Settings.

  10. Payments

Payment links with a pay-by date

Name a pay-by date on a payment link, send one link for a whole family split across its cabins, and a paid link confirms the hold. Emails carry your logo, and you can send yourself a test.

September 2026

  1. Lookout

Run the day from the Lookout map

Switch the map to a turnover view that colours each cabin by cleaning state. Check a guest in or out, or hand a clean to someone, from the cabin's card. Search dates and book several cabins at once.

  2. Store

A touch register for the store, bar and grill

Ring up sales with bar tabs, grill tables, a kitchen screen, tips, a cash drawer count and room charges. Taxes follow each category, receipts print, and you can import your item list from Square.

  3. Messaging

Every letter and text on one timeline

Journeys shows every automatic letter and text on one timeline. Add steps of your own timed from booking, check-in or check-out, send yourself a test, and have Porter write a draft.

  4. Payments

Take cards and bank payments, set up in Settings

Connect a new or existing Stripe account from Settings. Guests pay by card, or by bank transfer if you allow it, on a LodgeOS payment page rather than a Stripe-hosted one.

  5. Payments

    Refunds, payouts and disputes

Refund a payment from the folio. Payouts & disputes in Settings shows what has been paid out and lets you answer a chargeback.

  6. Booking

A booking page guests can talk to

Guests type a trip in plain words, like second week of July, two families, one dog, then pick from the map or a list. Each cabin shows one price for the stay, with add-ons and boats or carts by the day.

  7. Booking

    Booking on your own website

Paste a short snippet to put a booking box, or an availability calendar for one cabin, on your own site. Settings gives you the code for each cabin and checks that it is on your page.

  8. Housekeeping

Repeating cleans, repairs and lost and found

Set repeating cleans and a mid-stay refresh, log repairs and lost and found, send an inspection back, and print the day sheet by person and zone. Cleaners' photos queue offline until signal returns.

  9. Guests

    Registration card and waiver

Guests sign your registration card and waiver from a link. Signed forms show on the reservation, and you edit the forms in Settings; every save is a new version, so signed copies stay as signed.

  10. Phone

Calls ring your staff before the attendant answers

Build a staff call list with a rank for each person. Calls ring the desk, then your staff in rank order, then the phone attendant answers, and the caller's record opens beside the call.

August 2026

  1. Guests

A guest record with a timeline and a waitlist

Each guest has a timeline of what has happened with them. Log calls, get follow-ups for low ratings, balances due and unanswered quotes, keep a waitlist, and import a guest list from a CSV.

  2. Payments

One payment pad and a printable bill

Record cash, check, card or other payments from one pad on the calendar, Lookout and reservation page, and print or email a reservation's folio as an invoice.

  3. Booking

Quotes that expire, with a link to accept

Save and send a priced quote with an expiry date. The guest opens a link to accept and book, or to ask for something different.

  4. Booking

    Several cabins, one trip

Link a family's or group's cabins into one party. Hold a wedding's cabins in a single action with one release date, instead of one cabin at a time.

  5. Reports

    Ask Porter for a report

Ask in plain words which rental earned the most and Porter draws the chart. The Money report counts either earned or received, and a bar opens into what made it.

  6. Booking

    Add-ons priced your way

Add-ons are now items guests choose. Price them flat, per night, per guest or per guest per night, and set which stays they apply to.

  7. Housekeeping

    Cleans built from your calendar

Housekeeping builds a clean for every checkout from your calendar, with turn windows per cabin. Cleaners get their own login and a phone view, and the board lets you assign, start and undo a clean.

  8. Messaging

Email guests under your resort's name

Booking confirmations and your own letters go out under your resort's name, with replies to your inbox. After checkout guests get a thank-you with a star rating, and ratings show on a Feedback page.

  9. Setup

Rentals, seasons and rates in one place

Add rentals with photos you drag in several at a time and amenities with icons, set seasons, and apply one rate to many rentals in a single step.
